Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) - DVD/VHS

AVOID LEGAL TROUBLE BEFORE IT STARTS

This program is developed for school districts that want to understand the Federal Education Law and want to learn ways they may be able to prevent lawsuits stemming from violation of this law as it relates to children with disabilities. The topic "expert" is an attorney, S. Paul Prior, whose practice includes brining litigation against school districts for violation of the law.

Consultants, Dr. Perry Huckabay (Risk Management) and Ron Howald share their experience and knowledge. Together they list the steps schools can take to help avoid lawsuits and provide Free and Appropriate Public Education for children and disabilities. The primary audience for this program includes school administrators, special education teachers and parents.
