STATE BOOKS
To complement the 19 thematic units in the PCI Early Childhood Curriculum, state books are currently being developed. Each state book contains two weeks of structured lessons that teach young children basic information about their state. Objectives, preparation tips, lesson plans, patterns for "hands-on" games, and reproducible activities are included in each state book.

STATE BOOK ACTIVITIES
Each state book has illustrated activities on the state's capitol, flag, tree, gem, flower, bird, fruit, vegetable, beverage, insect, fish, and animal. Students learn to locate their state on a U.S. map, identify their state's flag, and locate their town on a state map.
